Explore the Lençóis Maranhenses in a 4x4 on a half day or full day tour. We’ve got an exciting itinerary planned where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the beautiful lagoons sheltered by crescent-shaped dunes and enjoy a scrumptious shrimp lunch at Canto do Atins. You can choose to schedule this half-day dune tour in the morning or afternoon hours. Better yet, spend the whole day there! The choice is completely yours.
The 4x4 will pick you up at 9:00 AM from our hotel after a hearty breakfast. Journey for one hour until you reach the first of two – three lagoons you will visit this morning in the National Park.
Depending on the season, these could be Lagoa da Roberta, Lagoa do Gavião and Lagoa Capivara, or Lagoa Tropical and Lagoa Lorena.
You’ll have about two hours to fully enjoy the lagoons – so go for a swim, splash some water around or take some impeccable pictures for your social media!
On your way back, we’ll pass through Canto do Atins for a lovely shrimp lunch before heading back to the hotel by 2:00 PM.
Alternatively, if you prefer to take your mornings slow and would rather go out exploring after lunch, that can be arranged too.
In this case the 4x4 will pick you up by 3:00 PM and you’ll return by 6:30 PM. You’ll get a wonderful chance of watching the sunset from the top of a dune – it’s simply breath- taking

After you have a nourishing breakfast at our hotel, the 4x4 will pick you up at 9:00 PM.
You’ll pass by some lagoons located further inside the National Park, such as Lagoa Tropical, Lagoa da Ilha and Lagoa Lorena (depending on seasonality). You can spend the next two hours at your leisure, enjoying a refreshing swim in the lagoons or taking that perfect picture to share with your loved ones back home.
When you’ve worked up an appetite, you’ll stop at Canto do Atins for lunch – they’re famous for their shrimps! Relax in the hammock and enjoy the breeze after your lunch.
By 3:00 PM, you’ll get back on the tour. You’ll stop at the nearby lagoons such as Lagoa Maria Vitória and Lagoa das Sete Mulheres, where you can stay and relax until sunset.
Catch the sun set over the dunes before heading back to the hotel by 6:30 PM.
